Electric nursing bed manufacturers believe that with the intensification of global aging, the proportion of elderly people is increasing, and the demand for nursing beds in the elderly care market is also increasing. Multifunctional nursing beds were only used in medical institutions before, but now they are gradually entering nursing homes, home nursing service centers and families. Nursing beds are divided into electric nursing beds, manual nursing beds and ordinary nursing beds, which are used for hospitalization or home care for the elderly or patients with limited mobility. Its main purpose is to facilitate the care of the nursing staff and the rehabilitation of the elderly or the sick.

According to the number of imported motors, electric nursing beds can generally be divided into five-function electric nursing beds, four-function electric nursing beds, three-function electric nursing beds and two-function electric nursing beds. It is characterized by motor, process design, and luxurious configuration equipment. Initially, it was mainly used as a monitoring device for patients with severe conditions in the intensive care unit. However, with the development of the times, electric nursing beds with home-style designs also appeared and were gradually applied to home care.

According to the number of rockers, the multi-functional manual nursing bed can be generally divided into multi-functional three-shake nursing bed, two-shake three-folding bed and single-shake bed. Its main features are rocker device and different accessories, such as bedpan, reasonable process design and different material selection, etc. Generally applicable to various departments of the hospital inpatient department.

General nursing beds are divided into straight beds and flat beds. Depending on the situation, it can include a simple hand-cranked bed, which is widely used in hospitals, nursing homes, nursing service centers, clinics, etc.

The important function of the multifunctional nursing bed is to help the elderly or the sick to change their lying position. Bedridden older adults are most at risk of developing bedsores. The reason is that the local tissues of the elderly are compressed for a long time, which leads to the dysfunction of the blood circulatory system that should be functioning normally. The long-term hypoxia and ischemia of the compressed part causes the skin of the compressed part of the elderly to lose normal physiological functions, resulting in tissue necrosis and damage.

At present, the prevention of bedsores mainly depends on nursing staff, and it is necessary to change the lying position of the elderly or bedridden patients within 2 to 3 hours to improve blood circulation. Manually changing the lying position is cumbersome and laborious. With this multifunctional nursing bed, nursing staff can save time and effort and take care of the elderly or the sick safely.

The dimensions of the nursing bed include the width, length and height of the bed. The width of ordinary single beds is usually 1m, and there are three main types of nursing beds: 0.83m, 0.9m and 1m respectively. Considering that it is convenient for the elderly to turn over and change positions on the bed, try to use a large nursing bed. The length of the nursing bed is approximately 2 meters. Regarding the height of the nursing bed, it should be ensured that the feet of the elderly are about 0.45m off the ground when sitting on the bed. If the height of the nursing bed can be adjusted, when family members or caregivers take care of the bedridden elderly, the height of the bed should be about 0.65m as far as possible. This height can reduce the burden on the waist of family members or caregivers and prevent the occurrence of low back pain.
